The colour blessing ceremony of the Gemunu watch on15 August 2015 , was held at the Kiriwehera Katharagama under the patronage of the Maha Sanga and Col of the Regt Major General PUS Vithanage RSP ndu.
flags of the Regular and Volunteer battalions across the country that symbolize the dignity of the Gemunu Watch and all servicemen, were conducted in procession by representative officers of each unit The Maha Sanga chanted Seth Pirith invoking blessings for colours of the Gemunu Watch . followed of an alms giving on16 August 2015 to conclude the event.
