FAREWELL CEREMONY TO MAJOR GENERAL MK JAYAWARDENE RSP ndu
The Gemunu Watch bid farewell to its outgoing Major General MK Jayawardene RSP ndu on 05 March 2016, who retired after serving 35 years in the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army. Ceremony was held in its customary way at Regimental Headquarters, Kuruvita.
The commencement of the ceremony marked by accorded ceremonial parade and paying obeisance to the fallen heroes of the tribe who made supreme sacrifice to the motherland by laying a floral wreath at the Regiment Monument. also followed by tea party, planting a tree sapling and also textured with the Farewell Dinner hosted at officer’s mess and presented with a memento to mark the occasion. In honour of the outgoing senior officer per the customary manner.
