681 Brigade troops of 68 Division under Security Force Headquarters, Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) with financial support received from ‘Global Village Friendship Organization’ of South Korea, built a new house for a widow in Mullaittivu area after her plight was brought to the notice.
The new house, constructed following initiatives taken by Major General L.B.R Mark, Commander, SFHQ-MLT, was handed over to the recipient during a brief ceremony at Mullivaikkal East, Mullaittivu on Wednesday (8). Keys to the house were delivered by the SFHQ-MLT Commander.
District Secretary, Mullaittivu, Mr N. Wedanayagam, Provincial Assistant Commissioner, S. Prabhakaran, Marytimepattu Divisional Secretary, Mr. Thiresh Kumar, Provincial Council members Mr. Anton Jeganadan and Mr. Kanakasundaram Swami, Presidential coordinating Secretary Mr. Kanagarathna, Ms Merry Kamala Gunaseelan, Senior Offices, Other Ranks and huge gathering of villagers attended the occasion.
