A heartfelt visit to Abhimansala - 2 in Kamburupitiya was carried out on 1 May 2025 under the guidance of Dr. (Mrs.) Dilrukshi Wimalaratne, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Gemunu Watch. The purpose of the visit was to promote the well-being of differently-abled war heroes.
During the visit, a television worth Rs. 50,000.00 and gift parcels containing essential items were presented by Dr. (Mrs.) Wimalaratne and members of the Seva Vanitha Branch.
Following the presentation, the President, members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, and other dignitaries joined the war heroes for tea and shared a meal. An entertainment session featuring music, songs, and dance performances added joy to the occasion.
As a token of appreciation, the Commandant of Abhimansala - 2 presented a memento to Dr. (Mrs.) Wimalaratne. The day's proceedings concluded with a group photograph and the signing of the visitor's book by the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch.
The event was attended by Dr. (Mrs.) Dilrukshi Wimalaratne and members of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Gemunu Watch, the Director General Infantry and Colonel of the Regiment of the Gemunu Watch, Major General WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP, along with senior officers, officers, and other ranks.
