The Regimental Council meeting of the Gemunu Watch was held at the Regimental Headquarters of the Gemunu Watch on 05 February 2022 under the patronage of Col of the Regt, Major General PML Chandrasiri WWV RWP RSP ndu.
It was the Second Council Meeting held under his chairmanship where important matters with regard to improving the accommodation facilities of all officers and other ranks, accelerating the ongoing construction works including the Offrs' Mess building currently under construction at the Regimental Centre were discussed. During the discussion, Col of the Regt earnestly expressed that the ongoing construction projects as well as the development plans of the regiment should be continued by the Council, not withstanding its chairmanship or the position of Colonel of the Regiment.
Further, the Council also agreed on preparing a systematic mechanism for the participation of officers in the forthcoming DSCSC entrance exam, Printing of “Hewaya” magazine in high quality and to review the existing charging system at "Tea Garden Residence" in order to restructure an updated scheme.
