OFFICER CADETS OF SLMA VISITED THE HOME OF HIGHLANDERS
The Officer Cadets of Regular Intake 78 of Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) Diyathalawa, visited the Regimental Centre - The Gemunu Watch, Kuruwita 30th September 2013.
Officer Cadets were warmly welcomed to The Gemunu Watch by Lieutenant Colonel P A J Rodrigo, (General Staff Officer 1) on behalf of the colonel of the Regiment, Centre Commandant and all ranks of the Regimental Centre -GW. Later he conducted a presentation to enhance the knowledge of the Cadets about the regiment and also on the future prospects for the Officers.
After the presentation, the Officer Cadets and the Officer Instructors joined the staff officers for cup of tea at the auditorium. Soon after the tea they were taken out for camp tour by Major UJS Sarathchandra RSP( Staff Officer II Gemunu Sewa Vanitha Branch ). The Cadets had their lunch at the Highlanders Officers\' Mess and at the end of the session the most senior Officer Cadet of the Intake 78 presented a memento to the Regimental Centre to mark their visit.
