NEWLY PROMOTED MAJOR GENERALS WERE HONOURED IN FELICITATION CEREMONY AT THE GEMUNU WATCH REGIMENTAL CENTRE ON 19 MARCH 2022

The Gemunu Watch Regiment hosted 'Felicitation Ceremony' to newly promoted Major General E A D P Edirisingha psc and Major General S N Samarawickrama KSP with the directions of The Commander Security Forces– (East) and Colonel of the Regiment of the Gemunu Watch Major General PML Chandrasiri WWV RWP RSP ndu to congratulate in conformity with military traditions.

The newly promoted Two Star Generals were warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant Brigadier WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP on behalf of the Colonel of the Regiment and All Ranks of the Gemunu Watch. Then greeted them by a 'Guard Turnout' , followed by both Major Generals were honoured by the 'Guard of Honour' at the Parade Ground. Subsequently Featuring the traditional event, they offered floral tribute to the fallen war heroes of the tribe who made supreme sacrifice in the name of our motherland.

Reaching the pinnacle of the day's programme, All Ranks tea hosted in honour of newly promoted Major Generals by all officers and other Ranks. Members of the Regimental Council, Senior Officers, Staff Officers, Commanding Officers and Other Ranks were also present at the ceremony.
