NEW GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 57 INFANTRY DIVISION ASSUMES DUTIES

(Major General K.M.V. Kodituwakkundu assumed duties as the 19th General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 57 Infantry Division, amidst religious observances and military formalities, at the 57 Infantry Division on 08 October 2025.

(The newly appointed General Officer Commanding was warmly welcomed by the Staff Officers of the Division and accorded a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour parade presented by the troops of the 9 Sri Lanka National Guard.

(Afterwards, the newly appointed GOC addressed all ranks of the Division, expressing his vision and expectations, and the day’s proceedings concluded with an All-Ranks tea.
