MAJOR GENERAL WA WANNIARCHCHI WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc FELICITATED AT THE REGIMENTAL CENTRE
A Felicitation ceremony was held on 11 November 2016 at Regimental Centre the Gemunu Watch to honour Major General WA Wanniarchchi WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc on his promotion to the rank of Major General . A ceremonial parade was accorded to him witnessed by his family members and many senior officers, officers and other ranks. Thereafter he participated for a floral tribute at the war memorial monument to remember all the fallen heroes, followed by all ranks tea party at swimming pool site. Later he was invited to the Officers’ Mess for a lunch. A memento was presented to him by Col of The Regt Major General PUS Vithanage RSP ndu to mark the occasion and for his remarkable service rendered to the Army and the nation.
