L CPL WEERASEKARA WKMC OF GW WON A BRONZE MEDAL AT THE 8TH COMMONWEALTH KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP – 2015
8th Commonwealth Karate Championship – 2015 was held from 18th to 20th of September 2015 in Talkatora Indoor stadium New Delhi.
18 countries and more than 1000 participants participated for the championship. Out of 1000 participants 92 participated from Sri Lanka and out of that 16 participated from SL Army.
S/425098 L/Cpl Weerasekara WKMC – 19 GW won above 84 Kg weight class bronze medal in the 8th Commonwealth Karate Championship – 2015.
This was the first time Gemunu Watch soldier won a medal in the Karate sport event in overseas.
