The inter regiment Combat shooting meet 2023 organized by the Army Small Arms Association (ASAA) together with the Marksmanship and Sniper Training School (MSTS) concluded on November 16 at the Diyathalawa 1000m Firing Range. Acting chief of Staff Maj Gen GRRP Jayawardena RWP RSP ndu was the Chief Guest on the awarding ceremony held at auditorium Sri Lanka Military Academy Diyatalawa on 22 November 2023. More than 300 competitors were attended under openand novices categories, representing all regiments of the Sri Lanka Army.
The Gemunu Watch shooters were able to score 2201 marks in open category which is the highest mark written in history out of total marks of 2500 and received the championship. While the Artillery and Commando Regiments secured 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
Similarly, in the novice category the Gemunu Watch crowned as the championby scoring 1936 marks and 1st runners-up and 2nd runners-up titles received by Commando Regiment and Sri Lanka Light Infantry respectively.
