\'HEWAYAKUGE MATHAKASATAHAN\' SECOND EDITION HAND OVER TO SECRETARY DEFENCE
The second eddition of the book titled \'Hewayakuge Mathakasatahan\' (Memories of a Soldier) was handed over to Secretary Defence and Urban Development Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa today (2nd October 2014) at the ministry premises.
The book is authored by Major General (Retd) KB Egodawele RWP RSP VSV USP and gives a detailed overview including the prestigious history, customs and traditions of the Gemunu Watch of the Sri Lanka Army. The book is written with the intention of educating and enlightening not only the present day officers but also the future generation. The launching of the second edition coincides with the 65th anniversary celebrations of the Sri Lanka Army rewrite with novel experiences in the early days of the humanitarian Operation.
Mrs. Ioma Rajapaksa, Chairperson of the MOD Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) was also present at the handing over ceremony today.
