The Gemunu Watch proudly celebrated the New year festival on 07th April 2017. Major General PUS Vithange RSP ndu the Colonel of the Regiment and Commander of The SFHQ (Cen) grace the occasion as the chief guest..\r\n\r\nAfter hoisting of the National and Regimental flag by the Colonel of the Regiment and Centre commandant of The Gemunu Watch. respectively, the proceeding of the event formally commenced. \r\n\r\nNumber of traditional dancing events, games were organised and traditional ‘‘Gemi Gedara’’ (ගà·à¶¸à·’ ගෙදර) were added glamour to the event. Special events were organised for the differently able soldiers. Nearly 200 villagers around the camp, family members of the officers and soldiers who are serving in the regimental centre attended events.\r\n\r\nTowards the end of day’s proceeding shared the pleasure at the events. The winners of the competitions were accoladed with gifts by the chief guest and invitees.\r\n
