THE GEMUNU WATCH BID FAREWELL TO MAJOR GENERAL LBR MARK RSP USP NDU, THE COL OF THE REGT – GW ON 10 MAY 2014
Major General LBR Mark RSP USP ndu, The Col of the Regt of the Gemunu Watch retired from the active service on 17 May 2014 after completing 34 year of successful service in Sri Lanka Army.
A Guard turnout, Ceremonial Parade with Regimental Colours and a Farewell dinner was awarded to the outgoing Col of the Regt on 10th May 2014 as a appreciation of service he rendered to the Regt as well as the Army. Many number of senior officers of the Regiment participated with their spouses for the event. He was presented with valuable plaques by NCO’s club, WO’s and Sgt’s mess and by all officers of the Regiment. Incoming Col of the Regiment Major General PUS Vithanage RSP was present for all the events conducted throughout the day.
