The foundation stone laying ceremony was held for the construction of a new office complex for the Seva Vanitha branch of the Gemunu Watch at the Regimental Centre on Saturday (01). The construction was initiated following a proposal made by The President Mrs Ruvini Lamahewa.
The President, Mrs Ruvini Lamahewa and Vice President, Mrs Shalika Edirisinghe laid the foundation stone together. Members of the Seva Vanitha branch of the Gemunu Watch and Major General A C Lamahewa WWV RWP RSP, the Director General Infantry and Colonel of the Regiment of the Gemunu Watch, the Regimental Centre Commandant Brigadier WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP, and Senior Officers/Officers and Other Ranks participated in this event.
