ESTABLISHED THE ARMY STALL TO MARK THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF ST THOMAS COLLAGE BANDARAWELA
The Education, Science and Technology exhibition were held on 18, 19 and 20 May 2017 at St Thomas Collage premises at Banderawela to mark the 75th anniversary of the school. On the invitation of the school, AHQ has directed to the Gemunu Watch Regiment to establish the Army stall to give an idea for the school children and the other viewers of the Army history, former Army Commanders, Regiments, weapon and equipment using by the army during the peace support operation and the post war situation by displaying photos.
The Children of the school, important Government Installations, Central Bank, Uwa province’s sport ministry, Crime Investigation department of the police, Fire Brigade, Agriculture Department, Sri Lanka Tourism Board and many other local departments also established the stall to colourful the St Thomas College Education exhibition.
The Hon Prime Minister, Mr Ranil Wickramasinhe grace the event as chief guest on 18 May 17 of the exhibition. Many school students of the Uwa Procence and the large crowd came to witness the exhibition during these three days.
