The Seva Vanitha Branch of The Gemunu Watch organized a Children’s Day celebration on 05 October 2025 at the Officers’ Mess, Regimental Centre, The Gemunu Watch.
The event was held according to the concept of the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of The Gemunu Watch Dr. (Mrs) Dilrukshi Wimalaratne , with the support and guidance of the Director General Infantry and Colonel of the Regiment The Gemunu Watch, Major General W.B.J.K. Wimalaratne RWP RSP.
Members of The Seva Vanitha Branch with their children attended the event and the programme included fun games, dancing, and musical performances where children joyfully sang and danced together. As a special treat, Pizza Hut sponsored delicious pizzas for all the children, adding more happiness to the celebration.
The event created a joyful and memorable experience for the children, strengthening the bond between the Regimental family and their loved ones while celebrating the spirit of childhood with love and care.
Many respected guests attended the event, including Dr. (Mrs.) Dilrukshi Wimalartne, The president of the SVBGW, members of the SVBGW, Major General WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP the Director General Infantry and the Colonel of the Regiment of the Gemunu Watch, Brigadier KMN Dikkumbura RSP, the Centre Commandant – RHQGW.
