3RD SESSIONOF THE OFFICERS’ TRAINING DAY OF THE GEMUNU WATCH - 2023

Officers’ training day conducting for improves the officer’s knowledge on military and non-military subjects which presumed as inevitable to enhance the professionalism of the officers.

The 3rd session of training day the year 2023 was held on 01 November 2023 at the regimental Centre with the participation of senior officers and officers. Colonel of the regiment and GOC of 51 infantry division Major General SWB Welagedara RSP VSV USP ndc welcomed all officers and explained the importance and value of the event as an important and remarkable event in the regimental event calendar.

The officers’ training day progrmme was unfolded as per following sequence. “Morning physical training, Lecture on “Raise of the multipolar order and distraction” conducted by Senior Journalist Mr. Vijaya Dissanayaka and lecture on “Officer career progression” conducted by Lt Col RMHB Ratnayake RSP USP psc from MS Br. Moreover in the diner’s club event Dr. Sanath de Silva lecture of faculty of defenece & strategic studies (KDU) grace the event as guest speaker and conducted presentation on “Israel – Palestine conflict, an emerging global danger”. He was welcomed by theCentreCommandant of the regimental Centre Brig HCL Galappathti RSP USP. Officers training day was undoubtedly an important event to all officer and it could able to get the peak of success due to the fervent guidance of colonel of the regiment and GOC of 51 infantry division Major General SWB Welagedara RSP VSV USP ndc in order to groom GW officers. After completion of the training day, the senior officers thanked all participants and conveyed kind regard to all.
