THE 3RD GROUP OF THE COMBAT CONVOY COMPANY , LEFT THE SRI LANKA FROM BIA

The 3rd group of 4th pace of the Combat Convoy Company (CCC) 3 officers and 40 other rankers left Sri Lanka Wednesday (August 17, 2022) to serve in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA).

The Mali (Phase IV) contingent of 243 troops of 12 Regiments of the Army leaved the country according to the three stages and the present contingent command by Col. Chandana Jayamaha.

The contingent is comprised of Army Officers and Other Ranks of

Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC)

Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE)

Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC)

Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR)

Corps of Engineer Services (CES)

Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC)

Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC)

Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME)

Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP)

Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC)

Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC)

Colonel of the Regiment Major General AC Lamahewa WWV RWP RSP added compliments to the departing troops .The Centre commandant of the Gemunu Watch Brig Janaka Wimalartne , a few senior officers, Officers and Other Ranks were presented at the Airport to greet the Mali-bound troops.
