THE 23RD BATTALION OF THE GEMUNU WATCH RENOVATES OLD BUS-HALT AT KILALY
An old bus-halt at Kilaly, which posed a threat to passengers waiting for busses due to its worse condition, was renovated by the 23rd Gemunu Watch (23 GW) and vested in for the use of villagers on 19th July.
The 23 GW battalion renovated this old passengers’ shelter with labour and financial contribution of its soldiers for the benefit of nearly 900 civilians in Kilaly area.
Commander 552 Brigade Colonel Deepal Wanniarachchi, Commanding Officer 23 GW and villagers attended the ceremony organized to declare open the new passengers’ shelter.
