THE 16 BATTALION OF THE GEMUNU WATCH CELEBRATES ITS 5TH ANNIVERSARY
The 16 Battalion of the Gemunu Watch celebrated its 5th Anniversary on 9 May 2013 at their Battalion Headquartersin Kankesanthurai (KKS). The Battalion organized Inter- Company Cricket, Volley Ball & Soccercompetitions and awarded prizes to the winners.
On 9th May the Battalion held a ceremonial parade for the Commanding Officer. This was followed by an All Ranks lunch. A Musical Show was organized in the evening under the guidance of the present Commanding Officer, Major N U Wedaarachchi.
The Colonel of the Regiment, Officers & All Ranks of the Gemunu Watch extend their best wishes to All members of 16 GW for continued success in future endeavours.
