The Gemunu Watch is one of the most experienced elite Infantry Regiments in Sri Lanka Army, organizes fund raising project named “ Minipura Gemunu Nada Trade Exhibition and carnival ” annually in order to assist differently able war heroes and their families. This year scheduled to held in a grand scale at Monarawila Ground- Ratnapura on 3,4 and 5 April 2020. Due to unfavorable health condition it was cancelled.
The ceremony of the lottery draw was held on 10th July 2020 - at Paradise hall of Regimental headquarter the Gemunu Watch. The Commandant Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and Col of the Regt GW Major General T S Bangsajayah RWP RSP VSV USP ndu and Mrs Hashamareen Bangsajayah graced the occasion as the Chief guest. Limited numbers of Officers were presented including Adjutant General Major General B V D P Abeynayake USP ndu, Commander-Security Forces Headquarters (East) Major General W G H A S Bandara RWP RSP ndu , Commandant (CEO) Ranaviru apparel Major General W S Rajakaruna USP also attended the occasion.
The Center Commandant, Commanding Officers, senior Officers and staff Officers of the Gemunu Watch participated for the event. Further important persons of Ratnapura area also attended the ceremony.
