Over the years the Regiment of Artillery has produced three Army Commanders and many General Officers. Officer who join the Gunner Tribe has a wider scope for both professional and personal development. Gunner Officers have many opportunities to broaden their horizon by following several overseas and local courses. Some of those are mentioned below. Soldiers joining the Regiment after basic training need to follow the Basic Gunnery Course to become a member of the Gunner Tribe. As they climb the career ladder they acquire a wider scope of knowledge and skills that equip them to face challenges of both personal and professional lives.
