The first Phase of annual awareness programme which is conducting to promote the concept of thrift among the army personnel and to educate officers and soldiers on the benefits they can receive from the Army Benevolent Fund, An awareness programme were conducted by the Directorate of Army Benovolent Fund at 1 Corps on 8 February 2022 and Security Force Headquarters Mullativu on 9 February 2022. The Director of Directorate of Army Benevolent Fund, Brigadier Priyantha Abeysinghe was conduct the awareness programme and officers and soldiers from Divisions, Brigades, Battalions and training institutes under command to 1 Corps and Security Force Headquarters Mullativu were present at the programme.

Visit of Director General Financial Management to Directorate of ABF on 15 November 2021

Director General Financial Management, Major General WBSM Abeysekera RSP USP made his official visit to the Directorate of Army Benevolent Fund, on 15 November 2021. He was warmly welcomed by the Director, Brigadier AMKGPSK Abeysinghe and the Staff of the Directorate of Army Benevolent Fund.

Next, the DGFM undertook a visit at the premise of directorate and to mark the visit, the DGFM planted a santalum album sapling at the premise of the Directorate of Army Benevolent Fund.

After that the DGFM addressed all the Officers and Other Ranks of directorate and all ranks were given the opportunity to have brief interaction with the DGFM by adhering to the COVID 19 health guidelines.

As a custom, the DGFM penned a note on the Visitors’ Book and at the end; a memento was presented by the Directorate of Army Benevolent Fund.
