Softlogic Life Insurance PLC Donates Portable RO Machine for Dialysis Patients

The Softlogic Life Insurance PLC, extending its appreciative support for unmatched roles of Army personnel in the fight against COVID-19 this afternoon (24) gifted a portable RO Machine for use of COVID -19-affected Dialysis patients at the Dialysis unit at Colombo Army Hospital.

The donation, valued at about Rs 5 lakhs was received by General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID -19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) after calling at the Colombo Army Hospital

Representatives of the donor company, Mr Roshan Sooriyaarachchi, Senior Manager Marketing, Mr K Pushpakumara, Vice President, Alternative Channel, Mr Nadeeka Lakshan, Deputy Head Micro Channel at Soft Logic Insurance Sport Club and Dr Colonel Sanjaya Heiyanthuduwa, Specialist for Kidney Diseases were present at the Colombo Army Hospital to formally hand over the unit to the Army Chief,

General Shavendra Silva accepting the donation symbolically at the Colombo Army Hospital, commended the donors’ thoughtfulness and their appreciation of the role, being performed by tri-servicemen against COVID-19 transmission. The donation was coordinated by Adjutant General at Army Headquarters Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe.

Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe, Adjutant General and a few more Senior Officers were present at the location.
