Vavuniya District Takes Stock of COVID-19 Developments

The Commander Security Forces - Wanni Major General Hemantha Bandara as the Overall Coordinator for Prevention of COVID-19 in Vavuniya District presided one more coordinating conference on Saturday (24) at the District Secretariat Office in Vavuniya.

The meeting focused on control measures against COVID-19 pandemic and developments taking place in respect of the epidemic. Regional Director of Health Services Dr Mahendran briefed the situation and emphasized the importance of adhering to health instructions to prevent the rapid spread of the disease among the community. All other measures were also taken up for discussion by all stakeholders present at the meeting.

District Secretary - Vavuniya Mr S.M Saman Bandulasena, Deputy General Inspector Vavuniya, Regional Director of Health Services and other government officials were present.
