Head, NOCPCO Joins TV Discussion in 'Derana'

A panel of resource personnel, including General Shavendra Silva, Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Dr Asela Gunawardena, Medical Specialist and Director General of Health Services, Dr Ananda Wijewickrama, Consultant Physician, National Institute of Infectious Diseases (IDH), Prof Athula Sumathipala, Professor of Physicality School of Medicine Faculty of Health Sciences, Keele University took part in Wednesday (28) evening's ‘Aluth Parlimenthuwa’, TV feature in 'Derana' TV channel which largely focused on the spike in COVID-19 cases.

A broad spectrum of perspectives, concerns and interests and the mandatory practices were discussed on the emergence of new positive cases of COVID-19 Outbreak’, selected lockdowns, transmission's status quo, need for preventive health practices, and how to mitigate the increase of COVID-19 positive patients, etc.
