4,230 PCR Tests Done on Monday - NOCPCO

As of this morning (20), a total of 309 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID -19 in the past 24 hours.18 Sri Lankan expatriates and 291 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 67 from Kurunegala District, 62 from Colombo District, 51 from Gampaha District and 111 others from different Districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (20) a total of 97,104 persons, inclusive of 92,077 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 93,373 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 3,111 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

In the past 24 hours, 261 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centers. Two death have been reported in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country remains at 620 by this morning (20).

As of this morning (20), 10,545 persons in 107 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (19), 4,230 PCR tests have been conducted.
