10,236 Still in Quarantine - NOCPCO

As of this morning (7), a total of 177 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 19 Sri Lankan expatriates and 158 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 31 from Gampaha District, 29 from Colombo District, 28 from Rathnapura District and 70 others from different Districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (7), a total of 93,771 persons, inclusive of 89,345 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 90,707 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 2,476 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

In the past 24 hours, 145 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. 2 more deaths have been reported from Bibila and Ampara areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 588 by this morning (7).

As of this morning (7), 10,236 persons in 101 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (6) 6,227 PCR tests have been conducted.
