As of this morning (11), a total of 342 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 42 Sri Lankan expatriates and 300 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 62 from Gampaha district, 39 from Jaffna district, 34 from Colombo district and 165 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By this morning (11), a total of 86,684 persons, inclusive of 82,857 of the fish market and Minuwangoda Brandix cluster have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 83,209 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 2,960 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.
In the past 24 hours, 457 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres. Four more deaths have been reported from Colombo 9, Alawathugoda, Colombo 14 and Nugegoda areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 515 by this morning (11).
As of this morning (11), 10,650 persons in 106 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (10) 7,889 PCR tests have been conducted.
