327 Recovered Ones Leave Hospitals in Past 24 Hrs-NOCPCO

As of this morning (19), a total of 327 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 2 of them are seafarers and all other 325 were from locally-identified affectees. Of those persons, 157 are from Colombo, 111 from Gampaha, 6 from Rathnapura and others are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (19), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 14,889. Of them, 3,059 were from the Minuwangoda cluster and all other 11,830 were from the Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster. Meanwhile, 9,162 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients both Minuwangoda and fish market clusters have been discharged from hospitals.

Up to yesterday (18), a total of 18,401 persons were confirmed COVID-19 positive from all over the country. 12,586 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and all other 5,746 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

To-date, 69 COVID-19 positive deaths have been reported. Yesterday’s 3 deaths were from Colombo 12, Colombo 13 and Kandana areas. In the past 24 hours, 377 persons recovered patients have left hospitals.

As of this morning (19), the flight QR 688 from Doha- Qatar with 39 passengers, the flight WY 731 from Oman with 30 passengers and the flight UL 184 from Pakistan with 13 passengers have arrived in Colombo. All those passengers were referred to Quarantine Centres (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.

As of this morning (19), 3,419 persons in 33 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (18), 11,105 PCR tests were carried out.
