The Flight No UL 455 from Japan with 03 passengers arrived and Flight No UL 605 from Melbourne with 98 passengers and Flight No UL 504 from London with 04 passengers will arrive in Sri Lanka today (19). All of them will be sent to Quarantine Centres (QCs), managed by tri services for necessary quarantine process, a statement issued this morning (19) by Military Spokesman, Brigadier Chandana Wickramasinghe on behalf of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
153 individuals after completion of the quarantine process at Nipuna Boossa (12), 59 Division Nandikadal (34), Mulankavil (82), CTS Ampara (11), Blue Water (01) and Citrus Waskaduwa (13) will leave for their homes today (19) after conduct of PCR tests and with Quarantine Certificates.
By Friday (19), a total of 14,966 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes. As of now, 3,970 persons are in quarantine in 40 island-wide QCs, run by tri services.
By this morning (0600 am), 22 more COVID-19 positive cases were reported. All of them were overseas-based Sri Lankans who arrived here. Similarly, 24 individuals, 13 overseas-based Sri Lankans and 11 heroic sailors after recovery left hospitals today (19), the statement ended.
