4874 Individuals still in Quarantine

271 individuals after completion of the quarantine process at Diyagama (113), Club Hotel Dolphin (25), Citrus Waskaduwa (67), SLAGSC (61) and Kahagolla (05) Quarantine Centres will leave for their homes on today (12) after the conduct of PCR tests and with Quarantine Certificates, a statement issued this morning (12) by Military Spokesman, Brigadier Chandana Wickramasinghe on behalf of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.

By today (12), a total of 12,856 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes.

As of now, 4,874 persons are still in quarantine in 44 island-wide QCs, run by tri services.

By this morning (12), 08 more COVID-19 positive cases were reported. All of them are heroic sailors. 10 more heroic sailors recovered and left hospitals.

As of now, heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stand at 874 in total. Of them, 647 after full recovery and PCR tests were discharged from hospitals. A total of 227 infected sailors are still under treatment in hospitals as of now, the statement ended.
