81 individuals after completion of the quarantine process at Diyathalawa (15), Club Hotel Dolphin (46), Nipuna Boossa (06), Kalpitiya (06), Navy Cluster (05), Punani (02) and Katukeliyawa (01) Quarantine Centres left for their homes on Wednesday (10) after the conduct of PCR tests and with Quarantine Certificates, a statement issued this morning (11) by Military Spokesman, Brigadier Chandana Wickramasinghe on behalf of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
By today (11), a total of 12,533 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes.
As of now, 5,060 persons are still in quarantine in 43 island-wide QCs, run by tri services.
By this morning (11), 10 more COVID-19 positive cases were reported. Of them, there were 01 from Qatar, 01 from India and 08 heroic sailors.
As of now, heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stand at 866 in total. Of them, 637 after full recovery and PCR tests were discharged from hospitals. A total of 229 infected sailors are still under treatment in hospitals as of now, the statement ended.
