Travel Restrictions Extended Till 14 June - Head NOCPCO

General Shavendra Silva, Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army announced that travel restrictions now in force will be extended till 4.00 am on 14 June 2021 and will not be lifted on 7 June 2021.

Sinopharm vaccination will begin in Kegalle, Trincomalee, Matale, Nuwara Eliya, Hambanthota, Badulla, Anuradhapura, Puttalam, Ampara, Batticaloa, Monaragala, and Polonnaruwa Districts on 8th June onwards.

Those vaccinations will be given at first to senior citizens, pregnant mothers and government employees in high-risk GN Divisions.
