As of this morning (27), a total of 1,825 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 24 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1,801 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 407 from Gampaha District, 346 from Colombo District, 183 from Gampaha District and 865 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By this morning (27), a total of 251,750 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 145,447 were reported after the New Year.
By Sunday (27) morning (past 24 hours), 2,172 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. 43 deaths have been reported including 25 males and 18 females on 25 June 2021.
By Sunday (27) morning, 1184 persons have left 20 QCs after completion of their quarantining process. As of this morning (27), 7,734 persons in 71 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.
By this morning (27) at the time this communiqué was released, 9 Police Divisions and 356 GN Divisions have been released from the isolation and 61 GN Divisions are still under status of isolation.
