Old Anandians in Victoria Gift Multiparameter Monitor

The Old Anandians’ Association of Victoria, Australia on Thursday (26) donated a multiparameter monitor, worth about Rs 825000 to the COVID unit at the Army Hospital for treatment of affected patients.

Impressed with the role of Army personnel towards the eradication of COVID-19 in the country, the donors in Australia got together and made the equipment available to the hospital. It helps monitoring vital parameters of patients indicating disease severity of patients. Multiparameter monitors are designed to display multiple information of patients, including ECG, Spo2, Pulse rate, Blood Pressure, Temperature, etc, allowing doctors to manage critically ill patient.

The donation was received by Colonel Dr Champika Abeysinghe, Consultant Anaesthetist at the Colombo Army Hospital.
