New Booster Vaccine to be Administered to Frontline Workers – Head NOCPCO

General Shavendra Silva, Head of National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army in a statement to the media this morning (22) said that the inter-province travel restrictions that remain in force will be lifted at 4.00 am on 31 October in view of prevailing developments as per directions of HE the President.

Similarly, all frontline workers in the health sector, tri-forces, Police, tourism sector will receive the Pfizer vaccine as a booster dose after 1 November 2021 as decided during this morning’s Presidential Task Force meeting at the Presidential Secretariat.
