More Police & GN Divisions Kept Isolated-NOCPCO

As of this morning (21), a total of 3,443 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 2 Sri Lankan expatriates and 3,441 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 822 from Gampaha District, 674 from Colombo and, 287 from Kalutara District and 1,658 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (21), a total of 154,785 persons, have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them 57,803 reported after the New Year. 123,531 of them after recovery have left hospitals. The affected 30.165 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centers.

By Friday (21) morning (In the past 24 hours), 1,165 recovered patients have left care centers. 38 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country remains at 1,089 by this morning (21).

From Friday (21) morning, Palali North in Palali Police Division, Kalmadu in Kalkuda Police Division, Kiriwewa, Sewanagala, Bahirawa, Habaraththawela, Habarugala, Mahagama, and Idigolapelessa in Sevanagala Police Division have been kept isolated. Meanwhile, 3 isolated Police Divisions and 28 isolated GN Divisions have been released.

By this morning (21), at the time this communiqué was released, the Pannala Police Division and 199 GN Divisions from all over the country have been kept isolated.
