Medical Experts, Specialists, NOCPCO Head & All Stakeholders Discuss Current Status & Beyond

Task Force Members of NOCPCO, Medical Experts, Epidemiologists, PHIs and main stakeholders, engaged in the control of COVID-19 epidemic this afternoon (19) evaluated developments, related to preventive measures, new trends, emergence of global clusters, public gatherings, quarantine procedures, affected cases, forecasts, etc during a special meeting headed by Dr Asela Gunawardene, DGHS and General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head, National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID 19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) this afternoon at the NOCPCO.

NOCPCO Head extending best wishes for the New Year at the outset thanked all for continued and untiring support for eradication of the virus on behalf of HE the President. Discussions largely focused on behavior of human beings, a critical factor for country's economic prosperity, education, economy, nation- building rules, etc where strict preventive measures were underlined.

Stakeholders pointed out the importance of sustenance of prevailing health guidelines in the wake of developing trends in neighboring countries and elsewhere in Europe.
