Army, Navy & Air Force Personnel Assist Inoculation Programme

Intending to reinforce the existing mechanism for island-wide vaccination programme against COVID-19, members of the Army, Navy and Air Force at the request of Health authorities are now manning or assisting inoculation centres in Nugegoda, Wellawatte, Maligawatte, Mattakkuliya, and Keththarama Colombo district and a few other places. General Shavendra Silva, Head NOCPCO, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army has accordingly instructed tri service personnel to throw their weight behind the project.
