As of this morning (23), a total of 1,721 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 7 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1,714 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 347 from Colombo District, 218 from Gampaha District, 209 from Kalutara District and 940others from different Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By this morning (23), a total of 291,297 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 182,247 were reported after the New Year.
By Friday (23) morning (past 24 hours), 910 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 21 July, 42 more deaths have been reported including 25males and 17 females.
As of Friday (23), 4,112 persons in 65 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. By Friday (23) morning, 910 persons have left 29 QCs after completion of their quarantining process.
By this morning (23), the isolated areas and travel restrictions imposed earlier remain unchanged
