65 Division Troops Initiate Donation of Dry Ration Packs

Troops taking their own initiative prepared dry ration packs for low income families living in the general area of Mulankavil and distributed them on Monday (31) as a relief measure since COVID-19 travel restrictions have compelled them to stay indoors.

On the guidelines given by Major General Tikiri Dissanayake, General Officer Commanding, 65 Division, the distribution of dry rations was jointly supported by the Commander 652 Brigade and troops of the10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry.

The main financial contribution for this event was provided by the 65 Division HQ. The Commander 652 Brigade, Brigadier Udaya Herath, Commanding Officer 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Civil Affairs Officer 652 Brigade and troops of 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry joined the distribution programme.
