5 More Deaths Reported within Last 24 Hours-NOCPCO

As of this morning (25), a total of 2,971 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. One foreigner and 2,970 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones', including the majority of 605 from Colombo District, 472 from Kaluthara District, 395 from Gampaha District, and 1,498 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (25), a total of 167,171 persons, have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 70,162 were reported after the New Year. 139,946 of them have already been recovered and left hospitals. The affected 24,772 are still under treatment in hospitals and Intermediate care centers. By Monday (25) morning (past 24 hours), 1,296 recovered patients have left care centers. 5 deaths have been reported during the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country remains at 1,243 by this morning (25).

By Monday (25) morning, 401 persons have left from 11 QCs. As of this morning (25), 6,322 persons in 69 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still quarantining.

By this morning (25) at the time this communiqué was released, the number of isolated areas remained unchanged other than the isolated areas that have been lifted and movement restrictions that have been lifted today (25) from 0400 hours to 2300 hours.

From Tuesday (25) morning, Urawatta 80 GN Division in Ambalangoda Police Division, Eriyawetiya, Sandirigama area, and Sandirigama NLDB farm in Sandirigamawatta GN Division in Kiribathgoda Police Division have been kept isolated. Meanwhile, 14 isolated GN Division released as follows, RaigamJanapadaya GN Division, RaigamaPahala in Raigamwatta GN Division, and Raigampura in MahaSigiriyaGN inIngiriya Police Division. Galamuna 122 E and HelaMulla GN Division in Siyabalanduwa Police Division. Athiliwewa 120 GN Division in Wellawaya police Division. Rathgama 162 F in Rathnepura police Division. Kuruwita 155 and Delgamuwa GN division in Kuruvita police Division. Maddumagala GN Division in Wattala Police Division. HekiththagamaAthkam House scheme Alwiswatta, National House scheme and Except Koktain Lane and other areas in Hekiththa police Division. Except for Jorge Lane and other areas in Kelawarapitiya GN Division in Kelawarapitiya police Division. Kalugahawela GN Division in Katana Police Division is released. Meanwhile, 10 isolated police Division and 14 isolated GN divisions were released.
