4,893 Persons in 75 Hotels & Tri service-managed QCs Still in Quarantine-NOCPCO

As of this morning (18), a total of 1,452 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 5 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1,447 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 322 from Colombo District, 203 from Gampaha District, 175 from Kalutara District and 747 others from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (18), a total of 283,511 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 174,923 were reported after the New Year.

By Sunday (18) morning (past 24 hours), 962 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 16 July, 31 more deaths have been reported including 17 males and 14 females.

As of this morning (17), 4,893 persons in 75 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. By Sunday (18) morning, 507 persons have left 23 QCs after completion of their quarantining process.

As of this morning (18), the number of isolated areas of the island remains unchanged.
