47 Deaths Reported on Saturday (19)-NOCPCO

As of this morning (21), a total of 2,028 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them were 20 Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 307 from Gampaha District, 302 from Colombo District, 253 from Kalutara District and 1,146 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (21), a total of 239,688 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 133,885 were reported after the New Year.

By Monday (21) morning (past 24 hours), 1,996 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. 47 deaths have been reported including 27 males and 20 females on 19 June 2021.

By Monday (21) morning, 246 persons have left 10 QCs after completion of their quarantining process. As of this morning (21), 7,751 persons in 72 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

By this morning (21 ) at the time this communiqué was released, the number of isolated Grama Niladari Divisions remains as 51 and movement restrictions have been lifted as of this morning (21) at 04.00 am onwards and would come into effect again at 10 pm on 23 June 2021.
