4,386 persons are still in quarantine in 44 island-wide QCs-NOCPCO

The Flight No UL -1282 from Pakistan is expected to bring down 156 more Sri Lankans from Pakistan tomorrow (15). Of them, 61 are military personnel attending training courses. All of them are to be sent to Quarantine Centres (QCs) managed by tri service for necessary quarantine process, a Media Release issued this evening (14) by the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) at Rajagiriya stated.

Meanwhile, 77 more individuals after completion of the quarantine process at Citrus Waskaduwa (72) and Ruwala Kalpitiya (5) Quarantine Centres left for their homes today (14) after the conduct of PCR tests and with Quarantine Certificates. As of today (14), a total of 13,692 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes.

4,386 persons are still in quarantine in 44 island-wide QCs, run by tri services. By this evening (1600 hours), 05 more new COVID-19 positive cases were reported among heroic sailors. In the meantime, 04 more heroic sailors recovered and left hospitals today (14).

As of now, heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stand at 882 in total. Of them, 708 after full recovery and PCR tests had left hospitals. A total of 174 infected sailors are still under treatment in hospitals, the statement concluded.
