3,103 Cases Reported in Last 24 Hours - NOCPCO

As of this morning (6), a total of 3,103 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them were 09 Sri Lankan expatriates and the rest 3,094 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 828 from Colombo District, 544 from Gampaha District, 255 from Kurunegala District and 1467 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (6), a total of 202,356 persons, have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 105,026 were reported after the New Year.

By Sunday (6) morning (past 24 hours), 1,851 recovered patients have left care centers. One death has been reported in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rises to 1,696 by this morning (6).

By Sunday (6) morning, 169 persons have left 12 QCs. As of this morning (6), 5,265 persons in 53 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

By this morning (6) at the time this communiqué was released, the number of isolated areas remains unchanged and movement restrictions that have been enforced would continue.
