The Flight 6E 9908 from India with 45 Sri Lankans and UL-102 Flight from Malaysia with 291 passengers arrived in Colombo today (13). They all were sent to the Quarantine Centres (QCs) managed by tri services for quarantine process, a Media Release issued this evening (13) by the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) at Rajagiriya stated.
297 individuals after completion of the quarantine process at Club Hotel Dolphin (66), Citrus Waskaduwa (66), Nipuna Boossa (16) and Rajagiriya Ayurvedic Hospital (149) Quarantine Centers left for their homes today (13) after the conduct of PCR tests and with Quarantine Certificates.
By today (13), a total of 13,494 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes. As of now, 4,804 persons are in quarantine in 44 island-wide QCs, run by tri services. By Saturday (13) evening (1600 hours), no COVID-19 positive cases were report. Likewise, 22 heroic sailors recovered and left hospitals today.
As of now, heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stand at 876 in total. Of them, 704 after full recovery and PCR tests were discharged from hospitals. A total of 172 infected sailors are still under treatment in hospitals as of now, the statement concluded.
