21 Males & 24 Females Die on Monday (28) - NOCPCO

As of this morning (30), a total of 1,717 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 7 were Sri Lankan expatriates and one foreigner. The rest 1,709 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 348 from Colombo District, 280 from Gampaha District, 198 from Kalutara District and 883 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (30), a total of 257,224 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 150,679 were reported after the New Year.

By Wednesday (30) morning (past 24 hours), 2,222 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 28 June, 45 deaths have been reported including 21 males and 24 females.

By Wednesday (30) morning, 708 persons have left 32 QCs after completion of their quarantining process. As of this morning (30), 7,632 persons in 73 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

The latest GN Divisions that came under isolation this morning (30) include Kanuwela GN Division in Bibila Police Division in Monaragala District, Niyadurupola No 1, 2, 3 and 4 estate houses in Hallawa GN Division in Warakapola Police Division, Dewalakanda Watta in Godampala GN Division and Pabegama Watta in Godampola GN Division in Dehiowita Police Division in Kegalle District, Aladuwatta in Aladuwa GN Division in Dodangoda Police Division in Kalutara District and Divithuruwatta in Parana Kolaniya GN Division in Elpitiya Police Division in Galle District.

By this morning (30), several Grama Niladhari (GN) Divisions and Police Division areas were completely released from isolation, including Minneritenna T-Sunami Village in Kalutara Police Division in Kalutara District, Upul Wasantha avenue in Siyambalape Watta GN Division in Meegaha Watta Police Division in Gampaha District, Guruwila and Kiulawadiya GN Divisions in Laggala Police Division in Matale District and Denswarth Watta in Algoda GN Division in Dehiowita Police Division in Kegalle District.
